Meet your practitioner
I reached 52 and thought it was time to get rid of the wrinkles on my forehead. I was out walking with my dog and noticed botox being offered at a salon around the corner from my house. With mixed feelings of apprehension and excitement about what the outcome would be, I booked in for my first ever aesthetics treatment.
If I'm being completely honest, the practitioner was a bit rushed and I didn't feel entirely safe or reassured. In the coming weeks I was happy to say my wrinkles melted away, despite noticing a couple of areas that looked like they'd been missed.
Several years and many treatments later, I leveraged my decades of experience in the beauty industry and years of healthcare experience to create a person-centred approach to aesthetics.
What do I mean by person-centred?
I'm sure I'm not alone in having noticed someone on the street
or on the TV who looks too "done".
Even when I booked my first lip filler treatment, I was worried about
friends and family judging me and calling me "duck lips".
I became obsessed with the idea of natural aesthetics.
Surely there were other people who wanted to enhance their look without
dramatically changing their face.
That's why my approach focuses on the individual person
and the intricacies of their unique face, rather than a taking a formulaic
"one fits all" technique.
Your face has it's own ratios and proportions
and when we deliver a treatment it's important
to everything in balance.
My ethos is to help people to look refreshed, being mindful of skin
integrity to create an overall balanced, enhanced look.
What drives me?
The pleased look on people's faces as they leave the treatment room.
Knowing that I can support someone in feeling more confident is a big win for me,
especially when someone has been struggling with something for years.
